Beautiful Disaster, a bad book but I loved

When I was little, I used to read a lot, maybe not a lot of good books, but I did it frequently. I started in eighth grade, when Twilight was popular. I LOVED Twilight, I read the whole saga very quickly, and I dreamt that a beautiful vampire fell in love with me haha. Time went by and I kept reading teenager novels very often, until a came to Beautiful Disaster, is a book about a girl, Abby Abernathy, and she is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match and very histories come out after that, I KNOW, is a cliche and a very bad book but i don't know why I loved too much and think i will never overcome.

A Piece of Technology

A piece of technology that I’ve used? I got it. When I was little, my cousin had a Nintendo, and he NEVER let me play with it, that’s why my mom, when I was 7 years old, on a Child’s Day, gifted me a Playstation 1, and since then I couldn’t stop playing. I loved every game, like Crash (all of them), Tony Hawk, Digimon, Mortal Kombat, and many others. When the Playstation 2 came out, my parents gifted it to me in Christmas, with a note (from Santa) that said ‘To: Valentina and Dad’. At that time I still believed in Santa, but it was mysterious that I had to share it… suspicious hahaha. In this one, I started to play my firsts horror games, like Resident Evil (I loved the third one) and Silent Hill (my all-time favorites). I played Silent Hill Origins like 500 back to back, and aldo Shutter Memories; I also played a lot of Guitar Hero, a lot of memories there. When the Playstation 3, that was not mine, it was my dads, so I used it a lot less, but my mom gifted me a PSP (PlayStation Portable), that I still use a lot, to entertain myself on my way to the faculty.
At this moment, I have the Playstation 4, that my mom bought me for a birthday, and I love it. Clearly, technology has advanced, and the games that are popular now are the online ones. so, (and I’m embarrassed to admit) what I play the most now is Fortnite, and also Crash, which is a remasterization of that same game from almost 20 years ago.

My Friend Seba

Today I’m going to talk about a good friend. His name is Sebastián. It was never hard for me to make friends, because I’m a very social person and good to talk, that’s why I’ve always had friends everywhere I arrive to, but it’s very different to have a good friend than to just know some people. All of the people that told me they were my friend in school we don't talk anything more than a random Instagram comment, or a birthday message.

I met Seba in my first year of Architecture, we’re only friends for three years, but I feel like I’ve known him forever, he knows stuff about me that no other people know about, and when I’m with him I can’t stop laughing, because we’re always joking or laughing at anything. He is a very hardworking and strive person, his dreams are very similar to mine, and he’s a friend that I know I’ll always be able to count on when I need him, and I hope that he knows that I’ll be there for him too. Friends are really key pieces to get through all of the struggles of the university. I hope that we’re going to be friends for a very long time and that we’re going to be able to say that we are Architects together.

Lana del Rey

Today i'll talk about a great artist that i like a lot. I haven't had the opportunity to go to al lot of concerts in my life, I started at 11 years old when i went to see RBD, it was like a dream to me and I had a great time. After that I've only had the chance to go to 2 more musical festivals; "La Cumbre del rock chileno" in 2012 and last years' Lollapalooza, that one was incredible, I had the opportunity of going thanks to my aunt Pame, that gave me the tickets as a birthday gift.

Lollapalooza consisted of 3 days of festival, were you could see band like Pearl Jam, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Mon Laferte, Aurora and many more. But without a doubt the one that I really wanted to see live was Lana del Rey, I love her, she's the best and the prettiest artist in the whole wide world, I was so excited to see her, I sang all of her songs I even recorded some of them but my singing kinda ruined them. Her musical style is Indie pop, which I like very much mind you, my favorite song from her is blue jeans and it was one of the songs that I was really forward to listen to live, her show was really simple, just how she is, she even got on top of the piano to sing, I definitely love her and I wouldn't think twice about wether going to see her again or not.

A long walk

A few years ago, when my boyfriend Feña and I were only together for a year and a half, we went on a winter vacation to Valle Hermoso. This place is one of the most hidden places on Earth, and I’ve always have gone there, because I got family around the area, but it was Feña’s first time, and the only thing he said is that he never thought people could live so apart from everything.

In this trip went my grandparents, my cousins, us, and my mom, but she was going to arrive there a few days later because she still had to work. The day my mom arrived, we needed to call her, to know when to pick her up from the bus station, but where we were located, there was no phone signal, so Feña and I had to start looking for a place that had signal, and we were told that after walking for two hours, we were going to find a big tree, and that the phone would work there. So we started walking, and after fifteen minutes of walking, it started to rain very hard, but we kept walking because the call was very important. As I said before, this place was very hidden, and the neighbors were minutes away, so after about an hour we found a big house and stopped by to ask if they knew were the big tree to call was. The lady at that house said to us that we needed to keep walking, but the only company that worked in the area was Entel, but we had Claro!!!

All of that walking was for nothing, until the lady offered to join us and borrowed us her phone. She was a very friendly lady and told us that her son studied pedagogy in Santiago, she was very proud of him. When we had the chance to talk with my mom, we found out that she NEVER HAD COME, so there was no need to pick her up. On the way back the lady stopped at a house before hers, and gave us a giant tortilla as a gift, which we ate on the way back. In total those were 4 hours back and forth, but I would totally do it again.
